Never discredit your gut instinct. You’re not being paranoid. Your body can pick up vibrations, some better than others, and if something deep inside you says something’s not right about a person or situation, trust it and keep it pushing. 

And anyone who makes you feel weird about trusting your gut is shady as fuck if not down right malevolent

Your gut instinct is your hypothalamus, constantly analysing every bit of input it gets for dangers it has encountered before, before that input ever gets to your conscious mind to be interpreted rationally. If someone creeps you out but you don’t know why, it’s because they’re giving off subtle danger signals that you may not be consciously aware of but are definitely there. Don’t trust them.
