The chime filled the silent room that Delic had been surrounded in since 8am. The weather was awfully icky today, an eighty percent chance of showers surely took affect by noon, which meant the work flow certainly was slow.
Any other time, glancing at his cellphone was strictly forbidden during his busy shift- but now? Hell, he could do what he wanted while client free.

Anxious digits raced to unlock his screen, hoping with all his might that the message would be from someone he was yearning to hear from. Internally crossing fingers while tapping his inbox, that’s when a heavy sigh was the next thing to fill the room along with the crippling tranquility.

Now, it wasn’t always bad to receive a nice greeting from Psyche- but when Delic hoped for Izaya… well, then he wanted Izaya. 
Ugh, it was far too much of a hassle to reply to the emoji the peppy raven had sent, so Delic decided to re-lock his phone and slide it along the counter. Psyche always spammed him with silly images, or links to videos dealing with ‘adorable animals!’ or, of course, eight heart emoji’s. It just wasn’t fueling him, the blond host desired to hear from Izaya before anyone else.

It had been a week already, after all.

Hanging his head, the man began to lose all optimism. It wasn’t as if Delic hadn’t already sent a message to the informant, but the host also understood how hard it was to pay attention to people while handling work. So, of course Delic left things be, he supposed no reply was better than a disheartening one. Right? 

As the boom of thunder echoed the streets outside, Delic thought it’d probably be best to head on home, he didn’t have much else to lose at this point. Heart weakened and shoulders slouched, the blond grabbed his jacket along with his umbrella. Fuchsia hues moseying their way to the quiet phone, he eventually picked it up with manicured digits.

‘♫♫♫!’ 

Just as he was about to slip the damn thing in his rain coat, hopeless orbs fell down to the phone.

“…Dinner? On you, of course.”
